My Satellite Setup
1m dish TM2600 GM twin Lnb, GT media 8uhd, vuo duo, Xtrend 8500. GM SR525HD Nvidia Shield Sport feeds
My Location
Liverpool
Current setup is an unbranded 1m grey dish , tm2600 motor T&K brackets .receivers vu duo xtrend 8500. May get new box.

Everything was removed a 2yr ago when we had a new flat roof installed , dish was on rear wall terraced house. Basically going up fresh install new piece of scaffold needed. Could I get away with a smaller dish that gets the footy come Aug , whivh sats do I need to receive. Been a while I'll probably be in the help setup section next.
Location Liverpool.
Also what would get with this dish , too small Triax Hit FESAT 75 https://amzn.eu/d/hsvvan6
I may get a 2nd dish

Free Premiership football is no longer generally available - due to satellites with tight beams being used & FAPL realising folk were buying cheap Albanian subscriptions (or whatever it was a few years ago). About the only satellite still showing freebies is TurkmenAlem at 52.5E. A couple of channels show games most weeks, but dont expect the all 3pm games available like in the past. yOu get one game. An 80cm dish should be fine for TurkmenAlem.

Thanks , it that Triax dish worth looking at.

As 52E is low on the horizon before you spend any money you need to find out if you can actually see TurkmenAlem! If you have hills, houses, trees or even a high fence out towartds the south east you may not be able to get it

There are various augmented reality apps available for smart phones that superimpose the satellite arc onto the screen to give you an idea of blocked directions

Ok will check it out, will that triax be ok for usual European sats will it be ok for 16e, 19.2e 28e

An 80cm should just about hold up during heavy rain on 16e. I have never lost signal on it on my 90x85cm.

13e and 19.2e you can pull in on a mini dish in the UK.

Turkmenalem is right round and down. You'll need a good unobstructed view of the arc to pull it in.

Just checked and my motor is actually a TM 2300 and I'm not getting any power no green light , pressed the reset pin hole , checked f connectors.

If it turns out to be dead , what should I get , seems not a lot around

TM2600 if you can find one.

My Dark motor is pretty good. They both pop up on eBay frequently. You’ll struggle to find one brand new these days.

I have a couple of working ones in the garage that you're welcome to...
Let me know cost thanks, whilst I mess with mine. Any things I can do to see if it's completely dead or not

about £7 postage I think?

Having one of the earlier "'orrible to align" 70-75cm TRIAX's I'd aim for something somewhat larger (say 80-90cm) -> same motor requirements, minimal (if any?) extra cost, similar set-up time/trouble, but considerably more chance of a lock on the weaker signals (and you certainly find those on 13/16/19/28E because of the directionality of some of the beams in use.)

That is, of course, unless you are trying to "get away" with the planning rules allowance of one "normal" (i.e. for most places that would be interpreted as a Sky Zone 1 or Zone 2) dish and another one up to 1m - in which case I might tend to use a standard Zone 2 on the motor to start with, and then add some form of 1m later on, because the Zone 2 dish is actually pretty good (albeit that trying to fit offset standard LNBs can be difficult because of the dish shape)

No, no issues with planning, just thought it was cheap, and would replace my old 1m
Thought it was leger than 75

looks like my initial thought of just putting my old system back up is looking way off too

When it comes to a new dish I ain't got a clue . My last setup was a all in package .

If your looking to try for 52E from your location, try the site at dishpointer dot com, enter your address, select the satellite your looking for, this will give you a map with a line pointing to the satellite, you can zoom in and move the marker to where the dish will be located, it will also give you an idea if the satellite will be blocked by something.

I tried this morning with the AR apps on my phone and think it's gettable, I could see it in the arc but not fully sure because of the motor.

On the .com site I get this line not sure how to check for obstacles,

At this point I just want something that resembles a working set up

Point your search to within about 10 miles of your location.

New, used, other is up to you.

Can you redo the pointer app but on a laptop or computer, you can ten zoom into your location at ground level and then it will check for anything in the way
