Postcode required!

I have been using a Freesat receiver over in Germany with no problems. It was quite cheap but only has one scart plug.
I am looking to buy a a Humax Foxstat HD freesat Hd box. Does anyone know if you have to enter a UK postcode or not.

Yes you do, but any postcode from the UK will do, just google a postcode for the regional news you want.:)
 
Freesat badged Receivers all require Postcode input.
 
Thanks for the info. The Freesat receiver I have does not require you to input a postcode. I can receive all BBC programes for all regions. From what has been said it seems the Humax box will not allow this.

Then it isn't a Freesat Receiver .............. it'll be a generic DVB-S Receiver: The operative word in my last post was "badged".



Furthermore, the Humax will allow you to receive all BBC Regions.

The one associated with your Postcode appears at 101, and the others up in the 900s somewhere.

There is also an Edit Customisable Channels feature which allows you to select a different BBC Region for 101 once you have done the initial setting up.
