Precision Antennas - Logo Stickers Available

Hi,

If anyone is interested in a logo sticker for a Precision dish please let me know as I hope to be getting a few made up by a decal manufacturing company. There is an inital cost of £42 inc. VAT for the artwork preparation then the stickers are £4.20p each inc.VAT on top of the artwork fee.

For an order of 10 stickers the total cost would be £84 inc. VAT, a cost of £8.40p each (excluding postage to end users address). The final cost per sticker may vary slightly depending on the quantity ordered.

I have attached a picture of the Precision Antennas logo that was originally applied to their antennas. The mottley yellow/brown spots will not be present in the logo, it is just some staining on the surface of the dish that the picture was taken from. The dimensions of the words in the logo are as below:

PRECISION is 250mm long and 36mm tall
ANTENNAS is 165mm long and 22mm tall

I might ask the decal manufacturer on Monday if they can provide the decals in two sizes. The lettering and decal size taken from the 1.8m Precision of "aceb" might look a little bit out of proportion with respect to the dish size on a smaller dish such as a 1.25m. If they can do two sizes of decal from one set of artwork it would be useful. If it is possible I think the dish size bands could possibly be "1.5m or smaller "and "1.8m or larger"?

Agreed. For anybody who has a Precision dish this would be a very nice cosmetic addition to it for which it rightly deserves.

MB, the size you quoted is fine. I don't think it will look out of place.

Hi,

The artwork has been paid for and 10 decals ordered. I ordered seven of the full size and three of the 66% size so there are a couple of spares for anyone if they needs one in the future. The current list is as below. The total cost for 10 decals was £78 including the artwork so they work out at £7.80p each excluding postage to end users.

I am not sure yet if we will need envelopes with a stiff back that cannot be bent for posting on, I will check when I receive the decals.

moonbase = 3 decals (2 full size, one 66% size)
John = 1 decal (full size)
Pipedream = 2 decals (two of the 66% size)
scopus = 1 decal (full size)


The spares left over are both full size.

Hi,

The decals have been despatched so I should have them either tomorrow or early next week depending on what type of postage they were sent by. The Artwork Proof is attached below as a jpg file. Please note that the decal that will be placed on the dish will be free of the decal company's watermark.

I though that I might have had the option to approve the artwork before the decals were manufactured. However, they look OK to me but if anyone thinks they can be improved then we can always go back to the manufacturer to raise a point.

Hi,

I had these delivered almost 20 months ago and put them to one side in a safe place temporarily ! I finally got round to having a good hunt around for them and found them, all still in the cardboard tube, unopened.

If any of the original enquirers still wish to have these please send me details by PM and I will get them despatched. Please note that the backing paper looks to have slightly lifted in places from the decal and is showing as a rippling effect however, the backing paper has not peeled away at the edges. Hopefully they will still be able to be fitted OK, possibly with the use of a hair dryer and a plastic spatula or credit card to smooth out any bubbles?

The cost was £7.80p each and there will be the additional cost of postage and packaging to send them on to anyone interested. I am not sure what the best way would be to package them, I am open to suggestions. The dimensions are approximately 330mm x 85mm for the larger decals and 220mm x 59mm for the smaller decals.

The original list of orders is pasted below, however, no worries if nobody wants them, its a long time after the original mini group buy so I do not expect anyone to commit to their original orders.
