Can one receive the feeds with a dm500s.

Not 4:2:2 profile feeds. Only if they they use 4:2:0. Many feeds are now 4:2:2, so best check feed sites such as Satelliweb before trying with your DM500.
 
You can watch them if you stream them onto your computer via the vlc programme (free download) - Ive done it several times.
