Problem changing LNB Sky+ HD box

My Satellite Setup
Sky dish on Freesat and Aerial on Freeview .both piped down to lounge TV and Bed 1 and a Sat cable to Bed 2 .
My Location
Skelton , Saltburn-by-the-Sea Yorkshire

I was having problems with my Sky+ HD boxes loosing a signal when it rains heavy, was told it could be the LNB, so I thought I will purchase a new LNB (old one is a 2 out Labgear) I fit a new X2 .4 output LNB ( couldn't get a 2 output) switched both boxes on, both saying not recieving a signal, went into setting and sure enough no signal strengh showing for them both, so put the old one back on, and now this one is showing no signal for both boxes , checked output after selecting a channel getting 17.5v dc .
I have no idea what is going on here, could the new LNB have done any damage to both boxes .
I am stumped don't know what else to check .

Water ingress at LNB end of cables?

Slight misalignment of dish?
 
Have you powered down both boxes for ten minutes or so ?

Did you disconnect the cables from the boxes when you changed the LNB ?

Yes I did, but have realigned again today with the old LNB and getting a good signal on both boxes, but the problem now is, allthough I am getting a good signal the lounge tv is not getting any chanels, upstairs one is fine, pic attached of the lounge tv screen.

Swap the two LNB cables entering the Sky box around, do you get the same result? If the result is the same tuner 2 is knackered. If you have a Sky subscription it is no longer possible to just replace the receiver, you can however set the box to single feed mode in the service menu - this will limit recording to the channel being viewed.
