Hi All
I am a novice with regards satellite dishes etc but have encountered a problem which I don't know how to resolve. When I switch on the receiver the Ross Logo appears as it is supposed to and it automatically starts to search for ITV but advises no signal, however the problem is it won't allow me to call up the menu or in fact use any other button on the remote as it automatically changes the channel to channel 0 and advises invalid channel. I have tried unplugging the receiver but that hasn't made any difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure your dish is pointing at Astra 2, 28.2E?
If possible try the receiver on a Sky dish, just to see if it scans in any channels.

Before looking at anything else, this might sound odd and simple but have you checked the remote control?. Could be that one of the buttons has stuck in a fixed position. Check that they are all up and level with eachother, alternatively might need new batteries.
