Problem with Jaeger smr 1224 get Er2 error

Hi.

Since yesterday only could move in one direction (west-green cable) but if switch the cables could back to the east using the green cable. Any idea what could happens here cant back to the east (correct conection) using the white cable get in the v-box ii er2 error and not is a limit setting problem.

Err 2 is usually a limit problem, but it's easy to check, if the problem is with your motor.
I assume you've already reset your V-Box II limits, jsut in case you've set one, accidentaly, and your receiver?
You can move the 1224 using a 12v battery, I used the one in my alarm box. Just connect the 2 motor wires to the negative, andf positive, and see if your motor moves East, and West, freely.
There is also a limit setting, in the Jaeger 1224, but I doubt this has been touched.
Do you have ease access, to the dish/motor?

yes. i have good access i go to the roof with the vbox and receiver without problem :)
I checked the mechanical limits and wiring cables.
Reset a lot times the V-Box and remove the limits and not get result. Only those that i say before the motor was on the limit of west and for back to the center switching the cables for center the motor.
so this not is the problem. but very strange a lot numbers years with this motor and not have any problem since yesterday!
 
It almost sounds like one of the relays in the Vbox is gone, since you say it will move back if you switch cables. Does it click when trying to go both directions?
 
yes when motor get er2 is a small click not loud.
well i prefer replace the Positioner and not the motor sure.
 
Can you get the multi-meter out and see what readings you get? (Don't use your tongue!)
 
Just make sure that you get +36V when going one way and -36V going the other way.
 
Depends on the meter... You might need to change the measurement range but not much beyond that. Also, make sure you're measuring DC, not AC...

what is the ideal cables in the jaeger or in the positioner for get the voltage ?
