My Satellite Setup
90 cm satellite disheartened painting to Astra 2E 2G
My Location
North West Italy
I'm having a problem in receiving the signal from transponder 11023/H/23000 on ASTRA 2E.
The signal is almost always absent; it has been happening since January.
I can receive with no problem the signal from other transponders on the same satellite.
Does anyone has the same problem?
I've a 90 cm dish and I'm located in North West Italy

According to flysat, the TPs are 11022 H 4444 and 11023 V 2500, being a Feed and Data respectively.

If you meant 11230 H, the SR is 27500.

11230 V is inactive or defunct since November 2023.

On 11023/H/23000 it should be possible to find BBC NEWS HD, BBC RADIO 3 and BBC RADIO 4

It's on astra 2G according to flysat and kingofsat, and on the UK-beam, which is the spotbeam I presume?

I'm surprised that a 90cm would be enough for the UK-beam, in NW Italy.
I hope others can jump in, if it is a weak transponder, and with reception reports for that area.

BGreetz,

It looks like 11023 H,23000 has left Astra.
Instead, we have a test carrier at 10729 V.

I'm sorry, I got the wrong satellite.:(

Not easy in Alicante, España with 1.8m.....skew setting vital. Along with 12129 V :angry:......will get worse here with summer hot months.

its 11024H 23000 and getting weaker these days, seasonal low.
I heard there s some sand in the clouds, this weakens reception even more>.
I had bbc yesternight & lost it today... maybe a comeback tomorrow
10773H 23000 is somewhat stronger...try it!

I have no problem with transponders 10818/V/23000, 10847/V/23000, 11552/H/22000 ; as signalled the biggest problem is on 11023/H/23000: could it be a problem of the transponder itself? Is there anyone based in UK who is receiving a good signal from 11023/H/23000 ?

Thank you

Thanks for the advice. I'm trrying to receive BBC NEWS HD, BBC Radio 3 and BBC radio 4 and unfortunately they seem to be only on
11023/H/23000

bbc radios are online, just type BBC radio 3,or BBC radio 4 it will come up!!

Yes, thanks for the advice. I know that and I'm using that as a backup solution at the moment, but from home it would be more practical for me to receive the radio stations from the satellite together the BBC TV channels (and at the moment it is possible for all the stations and channels with the exception of BBC radio 3 and 4 and BBC NEWS)

you can plug the computer sound to a hi fi or use bluetooth.... works fine for bbc3 classical

With the new micro step-by-step operation for both axes, I can now precisely adjust this transponder again.
It's a couple of weeks that the signal from the transponder seems to be more stable and a bit stronger and I'm now able to receive properly the channels broadcasted from it.
