Problems finding Hispasat

Hi All!

I've had terrible problems trying to locate Hispasat 30W. I have an 80cm dish and a new twin output lnb. My new MEO box from Portugal has no Disecq stuff so I figured that my old monoblock wasn't picking anything up becase of that.

WHat sort of elevation does the dish need? What is the strongest transponder?

Any help greatl appreciated.

Hi, to get your elevation, consult a calculator, like dishpointer for example.

As for a transponder, I don't know which is the strongest, but I'm getting a pretty large signal on 12092V 27500.

Still no luck. I have a feeling that a wall might be blocking my signal as my dish is at ground level.

I've always been reluctant to mount a second dish on my house as I always assumed it meant planning permission. Is this true?
 
Good news! Cheers! Looks like a quick trip to Wickes to get the fixings and my second dish is getting a new home!:)
