I don't know if this is a known issue with manual recordings, but whenever I use the feature - usually to record something that doesn't have a timed slot on the EPG - I have problems.
Firstly, my system doesn't seem to recognise the channel I'm recording, meaning that I get the usual warning message of "Programme clash - Please choose a recording to cancel" if I try to switch channels, but this happens even if I try to switch to the channel I'm doing the manual recording on. Also, the recording 'end' time doesn't seem to trigger, meaning that even long after the time I set the programme to finish is up, I have to go into my planner and cancel it manually before I can start switching channels again.
I keep wondering if this is happening because I'm recording something that isn't 'officially' being broadcast as far as the Sky EPG is concerned, if that makes sense. But when else would you need to use the manual record feature?
