Hi

I'm still at it. I'm now quite good at flashing images with a null cable. I've been trying out a couple and when I saw that there was an image called Hydra that had EMU's and downloadable k*ys, I had to try it!!

Well out of date.

Back to another version of Gemini 320.

MKU - I saw you guide to installing Satan key bundle - great, however I haven't successfully managed to load EMU yet. I can find them and I get a .zip file but where to put everything?? Help!!

Do you have an internet connection set up?

If yes, install evocamd from Blue Panel > addons.

If no, get the tar.gz file from i-have-a-dreambox. Then FTP it to /tmp on your Dreambox and install from Blue Panel > addons > manual install
To do it this way it must be a tar.gz not a zip file.
 
Got the file

evocamd_2.12_061106.tar.bz2 - TAR+BZIP2 archive, unpacked size 344,970 bytes

Do I rename it without the extension .bz2?

No, just put it "as is" into /tmp (do not unzip it).
 
Hi again

I have now got a decent Gemini image where the blue panel works! I have installed Newcamd and Evocamd from it. Also I have added Satanbundle to var/scce and var/keys and changed their attributes to 755.

At the moment I only have access to Astra2d, but I have a full S*y card, but since I flashed over the image that came with the box, I can't see any of the S*y channels, they don't even break up, all the FTA's are fine.

What am I missing?

I think you have to put your BOXID into the newcamd config file to use a full sub card.

"search" will get you the full details.

Just got the ordinary S*y channels working with NewCamd Betad, I downloaded the config files!!

I've read about putting the original box number in, so I'll search!!

Success!!

I have full sk* including premium channels!!

Edited the Betad.cfg in Ultraedit with Panasonic Serial Number, restarted CAM and it works!!

Happiness!!

Now this weekend I'm off to I29 LAN fest in my camper and I can try my mobile dish with other Sats and I can still watch the rugby on SP1.
