The planet must be in the Green zone from the Sun. It must have a magnetic shield of some power. It must have a decent Moon. It must have at leas one
megabig planet (like Saturn) to kill most of the asteroids. It must(of course) have water.

Seems like the Moon is a BIG must at least for our planet - without it there wouldn´t be any life here and the planet would just show the same face towards the Sun so no Spring/summer/winter.

So, I am not sure that any of billions earth like planets will do. Plenty of if´s.

Venus has no moon, and it rotates, though not very quickly.

Apparently the vast majority of stars out there are binaries, which would help in most cases provide both orbital and seasonal climate variations on a foreign world.
 
Most binaries would, apparently, provide too much variation and take the planet concerned out of the "Goldilocks" zone at some point during the planet's orbit.
 
There are thousands of potential orbits that exist round a binary system, but the S-type system planet orbit is one that has a chance of stability

There may not be much chance of a life creating period on anything in a circumbinary orbit, but even then, they could be used as a stepping stone for an advanced civilisation.
