Vu + Solo 4K, Viark SAT (4K), Mut@nt HD51
1.4M Famaval Dish, Technomate TM-2600 Super,
Inverto Black Ultra PLL 0.2dB Twin LNB, 53E - 30W + Gibertini 60cm 28E
My Location
N.E UK
Hello all I have not posted in a while but I am back with a few questions.


Can a motor be driven through a DiSEqC switch or do I need a 22k switch as well?


As you can see the setups in the below diagram are my current one and the one I want to put in place.
Would it work like this or am I missing some components?

Ha, took me a second to figure out those boxes on the end of the broom handles were LNBs. Sorry. :p

I'm afraid I'd don't know the answer to your question for sure so I'll leave it to someone who does.

Whether it will work or not depends what the new receiver is going to be.

Of course, The "current" receiver will work, whatever.

The Sky box will work, whatever.


However, the " new" box connected through the switch to both 28E and the Motor, doesn't always work.

It will work with a TM600, as I have tried it.

It wont work with any of the 'normal" Technomates, as I have tried that.

What other receivers it works with and what doesn't I don't know, as I have not tried any others. I suspect all Linux boxes will do it OK though.

Oh, I got it to work with an Icecrypt receiver too, but don't recall which model.

My current box is a TM500 and the new box is going to be an HD linux one.


I am going to wait for the new TM linux HD one to come out as I find the TM500 really easy to use and configure or go with a DM800.


I will update this thread when I have made any progress.
