Can I mount my mini-dish directly next to my neighbour's without affecting his reception?

The wall is roughly south facing and forms part of a terrace with his dish fitted close up to our boundary. There is a gable end and a street light partly obstructing the view from the other end of our wall making siting at that end tricky.

Thanks,

Sid

Yes, of course.

Just make sure that there is no actual physical overlap/occlusion and it should be fine.

If you are on the same electrical phase (You probably are), have you considered the possibility of asking your neighbour if you can take Feeds from his/her Dish (Which will probably entail fitting up to an Octo output LNB)?

Also, are the gable end and street light truly impeding line of sight? The Dish, although it appears to be nigh on vertical, is actually looking around about 25 degrees upwards.

Thanks, I thought it would be OK.

Don't really want to bother my neighbour if possible.

Yes, I think you may be right about the 'obstructions' after you take into account the angle of elevation of the dish.

Cheers,

Sid
