is pvr recordings better than mpeg2 and can i put the stuff that i record onto
dvd-r disc because if you can i will stick to that,i have this satellite reciever and the recordings from the pvr are very good,any info will be good thanks richard

Hello.
All the satellite channels transmitted in dvb-s standard are mpeg2 quality.
Regarding pvr there is little changes depending on hardware (pc dvb card or
satellite receiver. again in pc dvb card the type of card used) and software
used (prog dvb or dvb dream,mytheatre etc ).
