Qos Bandwidth settings

I have been playing in my R7000 router, with the qos bandwidth settings.

I am getting conflicting reports of how much bandwidth I should be setting the uplink and downlink bandwidth.

All the guides I can find have said I should you 80% - 100% of my downlink and 85% - 100% of my upload.

The settings below are based on my lines ip profile.

Can anyone help me with this please.

Thanks.

After a lot of head banging I have finally found the problem, I was getting confused with bits and bytes :-doh

Now I have found the right settings :D

To work out the qos value you need to run a Speedtest (ookla Speedtest)

So you get a value in Mbps.

Example:- 72.9mb x 8000 = 583200 download

18.45mb x 8000 = 147600 upload.

Now I need 85% of my bandwidth

Download 583200 - 15% = 495720
Upload 147600 -15%= 125460

And so far my ping time has also reduced from 14 to 10 on the pc and from 16 to 14 on the wifi
