rolfw said:Yes, there are transponders on Hispasat which are similar to other satellites and will appear to give you a signal from Hispasat. If you find a match, then search on that transponder and see what channels come up, it is then relatively easy to do a bit of investigation to find out which d
satellite you are on www.lyngsat.com .
What I find myself asking though, is why are you searching on a Hispasat transponder when trying to find an Easterly satellite?
I found these transponders similar in Hotbird 13E and Hispasat 30W:
Hotbird 13E Hispasat 30W
11503 V 11503 H
11958 V 11958 H
11977 H 11977 H
12092 H 12092 V
12149 V 12149 V
12226 V 12226 V
12303 V 12303 V
12380 V 12380 V
12616 H 12616 V
I was looking www.lyngsat.com but there is not any link in the transponder list. I can click in the satellite and see the list of channels and transponders but I can not do the opposite, click in the transponder and see what channels come up.
I was trying to catch Hotbird 13E but the quality signal I got was very poor 30%. So I tried Hispasat (just to see what happen, because is the satellite I am really interested in)) and then I got surprise that I got 70% quality signal in Hispasat.
After get good signal on Hispasat (but in 13 degree E) I was thinking to install the dish in that position, do you think should be fine? or i will get some problems, loose the signal in the future?
