Radio Caroline - 50 years old today!

I listen to RC during the day at work and I've really been revelling inthe afternoon session. They have managed to string together off-air recordings of the DJs and then play the modern versions of the songs.

There has been due recognition of the two ships as I remember RC North of course. It was good to hear Mike A'Hearne again - I could never understand why he didn't transfer successfully to Radio 1. I also didn't realise that the actor John Junkin was a presenter.

They moved around a bit as well. Does anybody remember them broadcasting from Radio Andorra?
 
Used to tune to it way back in 1971/2 as we rounded up Bay of Biscay on our way to Felixstowe Harbour on the South East Coast.

Yes; I enjoyed this afternoon. I was in Blackpool back then, so we were short changed..... the North ship closed down in the evening so had to rely on the fading in and out from the South ship
 
Hurt us when they dropped of the satellite platform.
