RAI DAB+ feed from 5 West

Thank you very much for your info, Evans.:Y
Can anyone extract all the needed files and attach here in a zip, please? No installation files, please, just ETI + others needed for DAB.

Extract the IPK files in a PC (for example with 7zip) and you will have files.
Otherwise, it is better to install foreign IPK in the console than through GUI enigma, so that you can see where the installation is tied.
Alternatively, you can install a backup image with DAB in an 8008 some slot.

That's the reason, I do have 6.4 version running DAB fine on Slot 1 but would like to have modern version of the image by default for other reasons.
It was kind of easy to follow Cirio70's straight forward instructions where and which files to place in 6.4 version. Unfortunately I don't manage to get them instaled by ipk, the process simply doesn't finish.

Update ... success!
Installing Evans's files didn't work through image menus however using DCC E2 did it with ease.

Thanks Evens & EnoSat!:Y

Hm, it turned out the success being partial ... it looks like only DAB channels sound normally while DAB+ channel's sound gets distorted.
Evans, any chance to sort it out somehow?

As I remember this discussion about DAB+ channel's sound gets distorted was already somewhere mentioned, but i can't find this posts. And i don't remember if the issue was solved or that somebody suggested the solution for that....

The fact is that they work great both DAB & DAB+ with the manually inserted files in OPENATV 6.4 while with Evans's "installation" files in OpenATV 7.3/7.4 only DAB works.

Il Re!:Y Thanks, it works!
However, I am still struggling to get the database correct in my Octagon. When I make suggested changes, next time I open the Dreamboxedit, I get this error warning and all channels affected get deleted from the list.

And can you please explain a bit more this instruction: or edit using dreamset choosing Stream Type=non-TS (exteplayer3) )

I do have all these DAB channels added by Dreamboxedit with Stream Type automatically set to non-TS. How to choose exteplayer3 from there?

Never mind, googled and ... found DreamSet editor! I've never heard of it before...
Managed to find settings, changed and voila!

Thanks again @cirio70 & Evans!!! :-respekt

DVB/TS - 1 - transmits all data
nonTS - 4097 - it only transmits video/audio
eService - 500x and 8193 - defined by the player

This is the first time I found DAB Metropolitan 2 on 11561 H,5780 after installing Ubuntu 23.10. Indeed, I hadn't even looked for it before.

Happy Holidays to all! :)

It is driving me nutts! It seems there are some incompatibilities between DreamBoxEdit & DreamSet.
Whenever I change the atribute from 4097 to 5002 (either manually in the file or by using DreamSet), next time I read settings from the box by DreamBoxEdit all changed channels get deleted/missed. Contrary DreamSet keeps reading as it should. How to solve this?!

Do not use old editors

Which one would be a"modern" one?

I don't know, I edit lamedb and userbuquets manually

If you look in your bouquet file, you'll notice that all the iptv services begins with 4097 which means "Default Player" so Gstreamer
If i use 5002 instead of 4097 enigma2 will use exteplayer3 as player and guess what..... exteplayer3 can play AAC960!

Is there a way to make exteplayer3 the default player?

yes,
if i remember correctly you can do it from E2 menu.
Menu -> Setup -> Playback Recording & Timeshift -> ServiceApp

Happy Xmas!

The only constant is change.
This option above is available in OpenATV 7.3 & 7.4 Devel, in 7.4 it has disappeared. Whoever develops OpenATV should consider continuity.
