Rascom 1 (cband)signal quality,on the congo channels?

i tested this satellite first time around one month ago with my 1,86m cband dish that i can move to the rascom 1 postiion,everything in the first test was okay,but the signal itself goes up and down very quicklxy from 54-to 38% and up and down again very strange,yesterday,i tested again,this transponder,until the temperature goes up,from 10 to today nearly 27 degree,signal is very week now,got only some pixels,but i cannot watch the programm no more,the beam,is in my region a little bit "better" then more east!
any more reports with bigger dishes,from other areas in europe?
who is the company behind the rascom satellite,from rusia?

Rascom is a pan-african company organised by African countries. I suppose you will get better signal after new Rascom-1R become operational in August.

Rascom 1 is also running inclined as it got dropped into the wrong orbit when launched. They had to use most of the onboard station-keeping propellant just to get her onto the geostationary arc.

but rascom 1,i first regoneized around a half year ago here in europe,how it can be that the satellite wil be replaced,soon,when this position is relativly new?
for me it looks,i never recogneized this satellite before,because there was no beam,to europe that we can receive!

After she had made it to geostationary orbit, it was announced that she had about 2 years worth of station keeping fuel left on board. No doubt an insurance claim was filed and paid up enough for a new bird. Therefore Rascom 1R will launch later this year.

hi.i'm in tel aviv and i'm receiving rascom 1 (the congolese channels) with a 160 cm pfa dish. my signal is stable 24/7 (38% to 40%). just wanted to know if somebody is getting already something from rascom qaf 1r since it has arrived at 2.8E from last week

hi.here in tel aviv i have noticed a significant increase of the signal on the txp 4051v9012 "congo tv's" from (38%-40%) to (50%-52%).has that txp been transfered to rascom qaf 1r? so far there is no news about that bird being on air. anyone with news may help.

The faulty Rascom QAF-1 has now been replaced by Rascom QAF-1R and QAF-1 has been sent to graveyard orbit.

The replacement of QAF-1 with the new QAF-1R , had the effect of increasing the signal quite enough , I was not receiving the old one but now I'm receiving the new one.

unfortunately I had not saved the frequencies of the old one , into my receiver memory , so I don't remember exactly if the frequencies are the same .!

the tpx 4051v9012 went up to 84%.i can even get a new tpx:4002v3092.there is one ch (RTI DSNG)color screen with a movie sound in french

new frenquency for congo mux on rascom qaf 1r. (4051R10129) one more tv channel added (stv1) and 3 more radio channels ( stv1,tele7,b-one).but very weak signal here in tel aviv with a 160 cm prime focus dish.

I have lost the 4051R frenquency but I 'm still receiving the 3971 R , 4022 R and 4078 R freq .

Finaly today i received the freq . with Congo channels , the reception was fringe with picture freezings .

Don't know if anybody noticed but there is now on Rascom a libyan mux from Kadafhi Regime I think on Ku Band on 10871 H 19620 3/4.

Excelent signal here.
