Hi,
I still have an old satellite dish at the bottom of the garden and now want to use it again, it used to be hooked up to the old Sky analoge system before Sky went digital so is still positioned towords that satellite which i think may be the old Astra 19 deg one.
I've now bought a Technomate TM5402 and I would like to turn the dish to hotbird satellite, does anyone know if the old LNB on the dish will be ok to use with the Technomate box to view hotbird or do i need to buy a newer type LNB.

i also have a satellite finder from Konig electronics but don't know how to use it, any advise would be great thanks:cool:

Hi, you most probably need to change the LNB for a universal to get all transponders, as most of the LNBs on the analogue dishes were single band.

The dish needs pointing to the right a bit and up a touch.

Satellite finders can be tricky, as they don't have a tuner. I would recommend if you can, to use the TM outside connected to an old portable TV instead.
