my plan is to feed a signal from 1 LNB into every room in the house, if I got an LNB with 4 or 8 outputs will i get a reduction in signal strength/quality??

what is the best LNB to get that gives the best outcome??
also what DB is the best?? low as possible or high as possible??

thanks,

There isn't a reduction in signal level on quad/octo's. A quad is 4xLnb's in one case.
It's very hard to say which lnb is best, impossible without knowing which dish you are using. As far as noise db ratings, a cheap 0.1db lnb will be out performed by a quality 0.3db lnb.

If you could post some more details about your dish, recommendations for a suitable LNB can be made.

  • Gain 10.70-11.70 GHz: 36.8 dBi
  • Gain 11.70-12.50 GHz: 37.8 dBi
  • Gain 12.50-12.75 GHz: 38.5 dBi
  • Half Power Beamwidth: <2 degrees
  • Cross Polar Discrimination: >27 dB
  • Mast Clamp: 32mm-80mm
  • Elevation Range: 15-55 degrees
  • F/D Ratio: 0.6

Southern Satellite sells those dishes so might be an idea to ask him, but I dont think you would go far wrong with either of these :-
