These are on different frequencies to the ones thast come pre-set on the digibox as I get no signal on those frequencies

Does anyone know if a sky freesat card OR a freesat box (say humax) will decode the above channels on 12480 , 12403

Regarding the "4" family, those are the Irish Regional variants.

A FreesatfromSky Card won't help you get them.

ITV Regions on 12402 should be open on the Card though.

A Freesat Box won't help in either case, as they are Encrypted in Videoguard.

The Box is a subscription channel so you can forget that one for starters.

BBC channels
the main broadcast channels are only available on Astra 2D
Six or seven BBC Interactive streams are on 12441V (Astra 2B South beam) These are flagged as data streams so some receivers wont see them **The 12441V services will move to 2A south beam on October 7th 2011**

Maybe in October I may have a chance of getting these then in Bulgaria

Not on a Sky box - you can only access them through one of the main BBC channels - and all BBC channels will move to Astra 2D at the same time!

You should get the BBCi channels atm - go to 503, press red button and select page 3001.

Dont get too attached to BBC News - its one of the channels moving to 2D.

I am currently waiting for my card to be activated

I read somewhere that you had to be able to get sky news channel before requesting activation

Is this channel required to receive the keep alive signal , as this is one of the channels I do not get

This is where OP's infamous Koenig will come in handy .....................

Does that include BBC News

Tried 3001 but the interactive failed say not available at this time

Look at post #7 ;)

BBCi might not be active at the moment - try it during the F1 next weekend.

So the Konig will pick these up Tivu?

Theres a good chance - connect it up to your 28E dish, do a scan and have a look for the channels labelled Stream-0 to Stream-6

Yup. What the boss said.

HOWEVER, be aware they are flagged as data channels - if your receiver ignores data channels then you wont see them. (This is why you cant tune them via Add Channels on Sky receivers).

But the good news is that most generic DVB-S Receivers are quite happy seeing them simply as Channels in the accepted sense.

It's Platform based receivers that struggle eg BSkyB, Freesat etc.

Interestingly - dreamboxes dont see them - you have to edit the channels using a channel editor and manually make them tv not data.

Odd. But they are not for normal folk, anyway :D

(Says he, a recent convert to Ubuntu)

No signal on that yet will try on October 11th

Eh?

BBCi are currently in 12440V 27500 2/3 and have a good signal over most of Europe.

DONT try with a Sky box that will certainly give a no signal indication - and will continue to do so when they move to their new home
