Recommend Comfortable Shoes

There is something wrong with my feet, and for many years I don't seem to be able to feel comfortable with any type of shoes.
I bought several pairs in the past and they all seemed OK while trying them inside the shops, but after the sale and trying them on the walkies, I didn't feel comfortable with them on.
Few years ago, I tried a pair made in Italy and it was like love from first sight. Just like Cinderella found her shoes (and not the other way round).
Bought new pair almost every year or two until one day I discovered that this brand is no longer imported. So I Bought another type of shoes and I was back in pain.
I think that the secret with these shoes brand is that the sole design was excellent and the shoe design was also unique and they gave my feet that good comfortable feeling.
Anyway, I need now a new pair and I am desperate for a really good pair, but I realize that it is not possible to buy this brand and I would like your opinion about what type of shoes and their trademarks you feel most comfortable with in everyday general use, not sport or anythig that needs extra hardening of the sole to make it last longer and I will consider ordering them from overseas, as our local shops don't stock what I really need, not even the Orthopedic speciality shops.

I feel sorry for women who wear high heel shoes. I really can't understand why any human being would want to suffer the way these women do.
 
I hate buying shoes. I always seem to end up in Clarks here in the UK.

Most comfortable ones I've found for my old plates of meat are the 'Active Air' range from that shop.

The Active Air wide type looks like the AirStep that I need. Perhaps they copied their technology.
Clarks seem to have a distributor in the Airport area. Will give them a call tomorrow and see if they stock these shoes or if they can bring them for me from the UK.
 
I had to stop wearing my favoured "Loakes", as they would cause pain on the balls of my feet, now wear a pair of Hush Puppies when in a suit or smart clothes, not quite as smart as the Loakes, but my feet are comfortable now.

Bought some superb safety shoes a couple of weeks back, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, from a company in Germany.:)
 
Yes. Nothing like a pair of comfortable shoes. With the AirStep I walked for hours while I was in the Netherlands few years ago and at the end of the day, I didn't say "My feet are killing me".
What is the name of the German company or their trademark please Rolf?

I found the first pair took about two weeks to really wear in, but then they became completely comfortable and lasted for over two years of constant use outdoors.

Nothing as yet has come anywhere near, the nearest has been a pair of CATs which are now beyond use after about seven months.

Have a look at the shoes from birkenstock (germany) i have several pairs and find them very comfortable.
 
I see a trend appearing.

I once went to a TV studio outside Dusseldorf (Usingen), and found that almost every other shop in the town was selling shoes.

The Germans either do a lot of walking, or drag their heels.

It does look like a spam. I have deleted all reference to this make, as they seem to be well known in Italy, but they don't make the type of shoes that I need.
 
I still wear my cowboy boots I bought in 1995. Change the underside of the sole every year, perfect. In the summer I wear "Jesus" sandals, and in between I wear some Timberland shoes which are very light and comfortable.
 
My personal favourite shoes for comfort are merrell's, never had an uncomfy pair.

I did read once in Mens health mag i believe, that some of the best trainers money can buy are made by Dunlop called (greenflash)apparently real good for your feet
 
I knackered both my ankles when I was younger - think I broke one of them but never got it looked at....

I always wear a pair of light hiking boots these days - lovely and comfortable and pretty hard wearing - and protect my ankles if I twist them..
 
This reminds me of the story of the guy who bought a pair of shoes that he really loved.
He polished them up so much that he could see his reflection in them.
One evening he went to a dance, wearing his favourite shoes. As he was dancing he asked the girl he was dancing with if she was wearing any knickers. Rather embarrassed she admitted that she wasn't, to which he replied "Thank God for that I thought my toecap had split!"

currencly i would say,after testing over 30 diffrence adidas shows the last 2 years,the modell clima cool 3 is the best for me!

with the clima cool socks you dont sweet so much!

also i have the computer shoe adidas one,with integrated sensor,and batterys for optimal protection during walking!

coast around 250€ and was limited in procuction to 5000 pcs only in europe!

in winter time,i use mauntain shoes,because, a lot of ice here,from the company lowa,with goretex material !
