record HD and watch HD

Thinking of upgrading the technisat ...
- Can the 8000HD both record HD at the same time you watch HD ... ? A limitation of the technisat.
- *Must* one use the (apparently) supplied dvi-hdmi cable, or is there some after market alternative.
- Anyone have a not so complex way to stream shoutcast (so I can get rid of my noxon as well ...).

Yes it can record HD and watch HD. The work load of the internal hard disk is pretty much limitless. I have recorded a HD channels and watched another HD channel on timeshift, no performance issues at all.

There are after market alternatives that you can use, I use one for my DM800 aimply because the supplied one is not long enough.

Can't comment on shoutcast, it's not something I use, sorry.
