My Satellite Setup
90cm dish along with Sonset satellite receiver
My Location
USA
Hi,

Does anybody know how to record a satellite stream? I have request. Can it be done with a regular PCI or USB box?

Yes it is possible.
I use Hauppauge Nexus-S PCI and it came with the application to record MPPEG 2 streams.

Thanks. I have this USB box: _http://www.galaxy-marketing.com/matchbox_pro.htm but I don't think it came with the software to record a stream. It only has the regular software.

Do you know of any third party software that may work with it to be able to record the satellite stream?
