I'm recording corrie all this week on ITV1 HD, I'm planning on making a Blu Ray with the recordings (yes, I know it's only in 1080i), I recon it'll make a good Blu Ray,
My question is, say I got a Blu Ray writer for either my Laptop or my PC, would I be able to still copy to Blu Ray even if the PC or Laptop struggles to play HD content, I mean just to use it purely for recording onto Blu Ray, not for playing?

You can use ImgBurn to create a DATA disk with your movie files on it. This will not play in a BluRay player, but you should be able to play the files direcly from the BluRay disk using VLC. To create a proper BluRay movie you will need specialised software (I think Nero 10 platinum can do it) to convert the .ts files to BluRay .bdmv files and set up the correct directory structure.
