We recently cancelled our Sky+ subscription but we were a bit miffed when we found out we could not record anymore or even watch the programmes we had recorded previously. Does anybody know if there is a way round this so we can at least watch the programmes that we have recorded?

Or pay Sky £10/month to reactivate the recording facility - however this wont allow you to watch recordings from scrambled channels - you need an active subscription for that.
