I have been asked to help out with fixing a broken aerial system at a local hospice.
The system consists of a single aerial which is split into 9 rooms via some ancient passive splitters (well over 30 years old and covered in rust) the run from the aerial to the last room is about 50 meters.
I have been in the loft and I have so far counted 7 splitters so I am amazed that the rooms at the bottom of the run even received a signal.
Aerial----------X------X-----X-----X----X----X
each X = a 3 way splitter with a drop down into a room.
The cable itself looks fine so ideally I just want to replace the splitters with as little insertion loss as possible.
The loft only has lighting but it may be possible to run a power spur if needed.
can anyone advise on the best type of splitters / boosters / connectors for this type of job?
