Remote control and streaming Dr.box peer to peer ip

Is it possible to remote control the Dr.box (or any other Linux receiver) and streaming over the internet to receive sat-channels from your native area/country in another part of the world?

If so, it would be nice that this board offers a step by step tutorial for the millions of expats with this strong desire all over the world.

You can certainly use the web interface on dreamboxes to change channels.

However I would imagine you would be limited to everyone watching the one channel the receiver is tuned into.
