A while back I bought a cheap KWorld tv tuner card. The card itself is fine but the software that runs it is absolutely hopeless. It has a nasty habit of losing the 3 rf analogue channels that are feeding it, and getting itself corrupted for no good reason.

Any suggestions for software to replace it - must cope with analogue channels.

I have the DVB-S Kworld sat tuner and the bundled software that came with it stopped working and I had to download a program called Hypermedia from the Kworld website

I cant remember where I got it from but you might get something here _http://uk.kworld-global.com/main/index.aspx?flag=1 or here _http://uk.kworld-global.com/main/prod_interf.aspx?mnuid=1335&modid=12&fcid=8&pcid=235

Hypermedia Centre 3.6?

Thats the one Im having trouble with! Its the replacement for the original software - which was just as rubbish.

Ive given up with the KWorld for the time being - Ive gone back to the ancient but working Pinnacle. I had wanted to replace this as its electrically very noisy and I cant play my music and have the card running

I`m not using the Hypermedia "center" but Hypermedia (without the center) 2.6, when I run it I get what can only be described as a seperate deck (think technics stack system hifi) and then I have to choose the input, digital sat in my case

I`m not really sure if there are any stable alternatives to it because I`ve not bothered with the pci sat card for ages, since getting it I found the program to be pants and the card itself wasnt much better even when used with progDVB

I'm sure that if you have the card's drivers installed, then you could use any program that runs a TV card, heck you could probably use the Pinnacle software if you wanted, it may complain that it's not their own card, but it should work... :)
