My Satellite Setup
No satellite gear here, but at my parents' house there is:
Konig 35cm camping dish (horrible, too small)
80cm Silvercrest (lidl)on 13E and 19.2E and a Technomate 5300D+ USB Super.

Hi,
I have a camping satellite dish, and it fell out of a window, and the LNB holder broke. Is it possible to get replacements, or do I need to resort to duck tape?

You may be able to get hold of one, but araldite may be an easy alternative.:)

ah yes.... I'm kinda supprised LNB holders aren't more standardised in the same way LNB sizes are... I'm not really having much luck with this... the first receiver I bought was from china and powered the LNB but didn't detect signals. I have a super nice compro USB receiver now, but I'm now fairly certain that I can't get any satellites out my window (I'm a first year electronics student) I think I might have to just dream of reception until easter break...

The collar size will be pretty standard but it's the attachment to the dish that might be the problem. You may be able to buy an LNb holder and modify it in some way. Make sure that it's mounted near enough as the original one was in order to get the correct focal length. You could post up a picture of the dish and or LNb holder as an attachment :D
