I am unable to see how to reply to a conservation without starting a new one.

Very odd. I went back through the conversations and the "reply" comes up on some and not others. No problem I can always start a new conversation.

Ive had this in the past on private conversations ..
Maybe it was in some way blocked by the convesation starter ..
Most times I could simply reply ..but occasionally had to reply by starting a new PM ..
Most odd ..
Not seen the problem recently tho'

Yeah the conversation starter can lock the conversation which will make the reply button disappear.

I thought as much ..
Cheers Alex ..though I fail to see what purpose this would acheive ..
Why ask a question by PM ..then lock out any possible response ?

The conversation starter can also select to leave the conversation which would remove the reply option.

I guess locking the conversation is useful where an admin/mod wants to send announcements to users.

@Admins:
Has Forum software changed yesterday??
I'm having grave trouble contributing.

1) When I reply to threads, I get a strange preview pop-up wthen submitting, and I have to click this away in the X in the upper right corner. Once gone, the normal thread view is not updated, but still has the editing window in it allowing me to double or triple post. Pressing F5 (refresh) will provide the correct view, though.

2) I can't create new Threads (I wanted to for this error report, but as I can't, I had to use TJs old). When I press "create thread", I get a thread creation box I've not seen before, and an "oops, internal error" message.

This has been going on since yesterday or friday...
I'm running Firefox 58.0.2 on Linux Mint (64-bit).

Hm... I haven't had any issues. Don't think we had other reports either.

@chris hasnt mentioned any updates to the staff in the last few days, although I dare say there may be minor security updates going on in the background regularly.

I havent seen any other reports of any oddities. It may be worth logging out and clearing cookies to see if that fixes it.

Not aware of anthing myself I have to say, but have not been on for a few hours last time I was on the forum though there was something odd in that the BBQ pit boys video was not showing and in it's place there was a message saying there had been a network change, but apart from that no idea until I post this

Edit and all seems fine

Tried that, but behaviour persists.
Also, I have to reply to someone's posting, there is no editing field at the bottom of the page - I had to reply to your post to be able to enter anything.
This is similar to what I am guessing is a missing entry field in the "post new thread" box, wherefore there is an error as there is no text to post.

Very strange. Recent install of Mint, recent update of everything...
EDIT: updated system again, but no significant package updates, and still same thing.

Tried Firefox 58.0.2 64-bit (same version) on iMac w. macOS Sierra, and eveything works here.
Must be something on Mint with an update?? Will explore further...
