Research Concepts RC3000

Hello,

I also got one RC3000 but unfortunatelly is in a bad shape. Some DB connectors were damaged and I fixed them already but main issue is that both EPROMs were removed so the unit doesn't boot without firmware. I have one 27C1001 but I will need to get one 4Mbit 27C4001 from eBay. Can you also tell me the values for the speed in ns of the original EPROMs?

Can you post your EPROM files again?

Thank you very much for your fast reply and for the files. I will order the 120ns EPROM.

One more question. I see you have a board on top of the big PCB and also a splitter with 2 coax cables. I am missing that one. I think it must be the option for the LNB connection to use the RF Autopeak feature. Am I right?

Last firmware version should be 1.55 from what I saw on Research Concepts site in one PDF. Also some features like TLE tracking is also firmware dependent.

I would be interested in the TLE tracking support. I wonder if it needs a complete new firmware or it is just a flag 0/1 in all firmware versions.
 
I hope it will be 0/1, but we need two different firmwares with same version to compare.
 
I am trying to find another RC3000 on eBay but prices are quite high. RC2000 can be had for less than 100$ + shipping but RC3000 is $1K or more.
Chances to find one with the same firmware are very small. I looked at all photos on eBay and all of them are different. If I will find something I will post here.
