Retiring Satlaunch.net project

It seems the owner of Satlaunch.net has decided they cannot update the site any more.

I found it a good site for launch info and new satellite footprints so I'm sad to see it go. To whoever ran it, thanks for a great service over the years.

Are there any alternative sites that offer a similar information? I know Lyngsat offers list of launches but it doesn't have quite the same detail on new satellites and footprint news.

Have you contacted the owner of satlaunch to find out if he would be allow a third party to take over the page updating ?
