RIP Artist Neal Adams at 80

There will be many who say "Neal who" but if you've enjoyed the gritty versions of Batman over the last 20 years then thank Neal as he, along with writer Denny O'Neil, reinvented Batman and left the camp 60s version completely behind. His dynamic art style and panel design reinvigorated both DC and Marvel characters and inspired and influenced many of the artists that followed.

RIP Neal, I will miss you.

He influenced multiple generations with his style and co-created such characters as Ra's al Ghul, the Man-Bat and one of DC's first Black superheroes, Green Lantern John Stewart.

Agreed, the genius behind the scripts and deadpan acting meant there was no requirement for darker themes (or implausible, expensive special effects)
