RiP Robert Hardy and Hywel Bennett

R.I.P Robert. A versatile actor on TV and films.
Did Churchill very well a few times if I recall, face seemed made for the part.
 
RIP Robert. Funnily enough I remember him for his extensive expertise on longbows especially the ones they recovered from the Mary Rose. Sadly, it's another RIP today, to Hywell Bennet, actor in 'Shelley' and one time husband of Cathy McGowan (Ready Steady Go).
 
That's a shame, and I'll be honest, I thought he'd passed away years back, didn't know he was still going... :(

I've only just learnt about the Longbow expertise while listening to Radio 4 News just now, while we was 'avin us tea.
 
Strangely, he had a bit part in Buck Rogers in the 25th century, but I remember him best as the police inspector in Psychomania (shot near here in Shepperton/Walton).

RIP Robert and Hywel a sad loss.
 
My first memories of Robert Hardy are from the old Mogul and Troubleshooters TV series. He played a company director there IIRC. Other luminaries from those series were Geoffrey Keene, Philip Latham and Ray Barratt all sadly gone now. A good innings I think.

I hadn't heard of Hywel Bennett's passing though. He first came to notice in the film Percy but most will remember him from Shelley,
