Broadcaster Robert Robinson has died aged 83.

From presenting BBC Radio 4's 'Today' program, through to compering 'Call My Bluff', 'Ask the Family' and many other radio and TV shows, Robert had a broadcasting career spanning over fifty years - his last series on BBC radio was 'Brain of Britain'.

No big respecter of politicians, he once said, "It's impossible to make the b******s reply to a straight question."

One of the old school who will be much missed. R.I.P Bob.

I grew up with "Ask The Family" (and "Top Of The Form", although that wasn't one of his).

Very distinctive voice and intonation. Easy on the ear and interesting.

RIP.

Indeed a familiar voice for many years RIP Bob

Remember him first from Points of View, an icon of TV and Radio.

Another icon of the old school passes on.

RIP Bob.
