I hope , someone in France (Paris ?) willl be able to look at it on his "small smartphone screen".
5 G is not deployed here and it will take a while!

Before spending time and money on 8K,; they should spend few minutes to make an inventory of the desert of 4K programs

Great, so people can see 8K on a HD (if that) screen! Or maybe people actually have an 8K screen and glued their nose to the screen to be able to 'see' all those pixels that they paid for!

Is that even 4K widely used in france?

Over here you are lucky if you can get 4G beyond (big) city limits.

Maybe in my country we go straight from SD (national) TV to 8K and from 3G to 5G

What a waste of money and resources, but they have to keep people interested and stupid to keep on selling.

Err.... think you have all misinterpreted this, this sounds just like a closed test. It will more than likely be an 8k feed sent over 5G to France TVs studios to be displayed on 8k screens. In the UK, many live events are sent from SNG trucks using 4G nowadays.

The name of the channel can be HD+ and hopefully puts Eurosport 4K
It is not the main track, last year, Eurosport360 with 4K quality, not bad.
Only during the events, the rest of the time, they put a demo playing balls
