Tried playing the split files on a media streamer after renaming to preserve .mts suffix. All played ok but with sequential gap. Tried playing back on the Ross but it hides all .mts files unless in the PVR 'HDPVR' folder in .mts, .mts1 etc. format. Tried renaming as .mts.001, .mts.002 etc. and joining with HJSplit, played ok in streamer then in Ross after rename to .ts to make visible in the Ross media player. Only 2x10min (>500Mb) files joined, will try later with more sections to check for audio/vid sync. Slight plus point for the 1/2Gb splits if power fails some video retrievable. Needs NTFS drive/partition to stitch <4Gb in W$. Tried Diseq positioner but not enough power for Ross+positioner. Tried !2v Comag STB and positioner, ok. Tried Comag PSU on Ross but worse, positioner power on, but Ross dark. With Ross PSU splash screen cycling. Will try next with car plug and bigger 12v PSU for Ross+postioner. Ross outputs HDMI HD *and* SCART HD>SD simutaneously inc. OSD, unlike Amiko SHD-7900 which omits OSD via SCART/composite.
