router/ethernet or box

I have a technomate 600 brand new with a UR image on it.
What it is i have a box running CCcam connected by ethernet to the router.
What happens is everytime theres a power cut the box has a problem connecting back to the server.
The ethernet connection still works but only the FTA channels come on.
Its a BT2WIRE router with a 65 metre ethernet connection,iv tried all i can but getting nowhere.
 
Firstly why are you having multiple powercuts?
Have you considered installing a UPS to take over running the technomate and router while the mains is off?

All the more reason to have a UPS, it gives the o/p time to top up
