Rover Master STC help please

Hi , i got a Rover Master STC meter , but it wasn't working when i got it, after a little soldering it fires up .
i will probably have to buy a new bettery pack though.

my issue is the S.M.A.R.T. software, i have it installed ok, and have the relivent Firmare and sat list files, but its giving me greif due to the port settings, :mad:

but TBH i don't really understand the reply,, i didn't see any " config file " on the Rover site..

anyhoo, if someone could chip in that would be great.. even to tell me how to start to use it as is would be nice

Sorry, only just seen this, does seem to be a problem with the Master STC, we've had several people post with problems, unless of course it's the same few faulty meters reappearing on ebay.

The meter needs to go to Rover to be repaired, can't remember what the price was, but it will always certainly more than the meter is worth.

Personally, their are cheaper meters around that will do the same job. I could never get on with the Rover found it too slow to respond and didn't like the menu structure.
