Rover Master STC wont connect to SMART on my pc

Hi, new to this forum so please be patient, I was recently using a rover ST2+ until the connection decided to shear off, so I had to purchase a Rover Master STC off EBAY. The issue Im having is connecting the Master STC to the SMART program on my pc. Whenever I try to connect it I get a pop up message " cannot connect port"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you downloaded the config file and imported it into the program? I bought one under similar circumctances and after a while managed to get the connection working, but only after pointing the program at the config file.
 
Digging this out...
...as I have been away for some time.

For the record: the problem probably is due to a too old SMART version! You need to use the lates version, which supports your newer Master STC meter.

hi all I did it got one of eBay all I get is a blank white screen anyone had this at all Robin
