Russian satellite Express MD1 at 80E lost orientation

By the way, AM2 is half-dead anyway. Apparently transmission on it is limited between the hours of 2pm and 2am MSK. Unofficial hearsay suggests that MD1 is out of control and contingency plans are being prepared. Some channels have moved to AM33 at 96.5E.

80E 001.webp80E 002.webp Strong signal from 80E. Cannot say is it "normal" or not because not my most wanted birds.

Yeah that's from AM2. Can you check whether you have any signal in C or Ku after 2am Moscow time?

:) You dont believe how my wife looked me when I told that :)
Yes I´ll try to check. Moscow GMT +3 are there summer time as here in Finland? Normally we are +2 and now because of summer time +3.

Allegedly this satellite operates just 12 hours a day, so you could check tomorrow morning here :)

We abolished summer time a few years ago in Russia so I think there's 1 hour difference now and 2 hours in the winter.

Yep, theres nothing now. All signals gone and only black screen left.

Any updates on the MD1 failure? Ive been out the loop for the last couple of weeks

Theres nothing on their company website about it, although it is showing as nothing been transmitted from it on most of the frequency websites like lyngsat.
