If i wanted to share my card do i need to give both a C: and an N: line to the client and just have the F: line in my .cfg?

The client will need your N line so he can see your card.

You will also need to exchange C & F lines as normal if you wish to share his hop1s and allow him to share your hop 1s.

If your peers card is also in NewCS he will need to send you an N line also :-righton

ok, so the port that i use in newcs.xml, device, newcamd_port is this...
a: the port i open on my router
b: the port i put in my c: & F: lines? ie so they are all the same

a: yes you open that port in your router for direct access to newcs
b: No, C and F lines uses the SERVER LISTEN PORT : from your CCcam config.

the newcamd_port is used in the N lines you give to your peers.

You need to open the newcamd_port in your router to allow access to your Sly Card.

If you want people to be able to connect to your CCcam too, then yes you open the server listen port too. YOu may want this to allow people access to your hop1 cards for example.
