Nothing to do with satellite but its worth flagging this up on the forum.

Consumers are being warned to check packs of Nurofen Plus after it emerged that thousands could mistakenly contain antipsychotic drugs.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a safety alert following reports that some batches contained Seroquel XL 50mg instead of Nurofen Plus.

I guess someone had been sampling the sleeping pills that day to miss such a glaring mistake... :-ohcrap

Seriously, the machinery is made to recognise such errors, so whoever just punched up "Clear" on the error must have been out of their heads!!! :toke:

might not be as obvious a mistake as you may think. doubt the machinery would recognise the tablets in the blister packaging machine. It probably is a mistake when the job was picked out of the warehouse, maybe 1 box of tablets was in with the rest of the batch. The machinery used to make these tablets are probably sharing the same tooling for both tablets too, so the pocket size in the blister will be the same as the wrong tablet.

just read it and it says the tablet size is different, might be close enough to fit in the same pocket of the blister but the camera should have been set to reject any mis-sized tablet, small and large. You can set the tolerance of this so it rejects anything 10% bigger or smaller than what you calibrate it with.

Well, the article also states that the medication was in a different blister pack, I.E. the Anti-psychotic pack;

The Seroquel tablets are larger and have gold and black packaging, compared with the Nurofen Plus tablets which are smaller and have silver and black packaging.

So even a machine that was supposed to be packing them should have spotted that glaring error... :confused
