same lnb with 2 dreambox diffrent signal !!!

hello, i have 2 dreambox , dreambox 500s and dreambox 7025,
i got 80% snr with 500s, but same channel i got 46% snr with 7025, is it something to do with the tuner?

btw dish pointed at 28.2e with quad lnb.

Well you have to ask yourself what variables are there....

The tuners will be different I suspect however there are other variables to take into consideration
Are the two cable feeds made from identical cable ?cables of the same length? terminated in an identical way? are the paths from lnb to stb the same or has one got a tight undersized cable clip compressing it or a tight right angle somewhere?
 
thanks for the replay, i checked the snr with the same cable end with 500s to make sure theres nothing wrong with the cable and i got good snr, i used to feed 2 same satellite(28.2) in 2 twiner in 7025s and the quality used to be good same as 500s. but since i changed 1 tuner for 28.2 and another one for 13e, now i am getting signal loss some how, its strange.
 
If you used the same cable with two receivers and got different results, it has to be the receiver... As Topper said, there will be differences between the receivers, though that does seem a very big difference... especially for two receivers made by the same manufacturer, are you sure one of them's not a clone or something? It could be that your receiver is a little suspect... Odd though, it's as if one of your receivers is massively inserting noise into the signal...

ya funny enogh 500s is clone which getting good signal.
 
Receiver strength and quality readings are only approximate, are normally percentage displays and not calibrated, so if the receiver is working fine and the picture is not breaking up, ignore it. If the picture is breaking up when you swap the receiver around, then it could be a duff tuner, or perhaps just a not very sensitive one.
