I have a Samsung 9500 EM VIA, with 2 embedded via-slots, but no free slots. Is it also possible to patch this safely with v118/v120, and use x-in-1 software on funcard? Soft-loader 501.

You can only patch it if it has the earlier version of firmware. I tried mine, but couldn't remove the plastic foam covering the J-Tag interface, so couldn't update the loader.
