Hi, I have just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S5, it looks like a nice phone, £33.99 per month 1000 mins/unlimited text 2GB data free phone on EE,

I don't get the phone until Monday but looking forward to having a play with it:).

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

I'm still unsure about what I want to upgrade to when I'm up for renewal, so far it's either the S5 or HTC One M8, but I'll wait 'til after christmas, when the post-christmas clear-the-warehouse deals kick in... :)

If I had a S5 (or S4) I would go for wireless charging. I heard it's a pickle to attach the charging cable on S5 because of to its water resistant case.

If you do go for the s5 this little adapter might come in handy for you 2cv,

My S3 can do the MHL thing too, but I never felt the need to do so, seeing as I can send video and images from my S3 to the TV over WiFi (being a Samsung Smart TV), the only additional thing the MHL does is put my phone's display up on the TV, which I really don't need... :)

Hi my new phone arrived today, I've not got round to doing much with it, only charging it up and inserting the new sim card, I was keep to see how fast EE is at my location and its fast, the phone is a little bigger than my old one,

I am only on a 2GB per month data plan so i will have to keep an eye on what I do.

Confusing results, 16 down and 60 up, shouldn't that be the other way round? :confused

I never really looked at the up speed 2cv until now  yes it does seem incorrect I will try another one.

Edit,

This is more like it, I am unsure what happened with the other test but like you say the up speed was not correct.

I prefer speedtest.net myself, they usually do pretty accurate results... :D

And they're pretty accurate about the ADSL's "performance" (or lack of), 1.69 down, 0.16 up, thank goodness I'm getting fibre installed next monday, the internet needs to be fast in today's world, and yet, 12 years ago, 1Mbps was considered high-speed... :-doh

How are you getting on with it, Martin? Have you rooted and ROMed it yet? I am loving the One M8 - a real pleasure of a phone.

I've not got round to doing much with it tbh CJ, I am still messing about with the raspberry pi and xbmc, the One M8 is a nice phone it was considered :).
