Does anybody in the Sandy Heath transmitter area know if the analogue transmissions went off the air for about one hour at about 7 o/c tonight?

By pure coincidence, I was connecting up my nice new Sony LCD twin tuner TV at this time, and couldn't receive the analogue channels, although it was OK when I tested the TV earlier.

I checked another TV at the same time, no signal there too, but I concluded that my quaint aerial distribution system (behind the fridge) had given up the ghost.

The signal miraculously appeared about an hour later, leading me to think there must have been some problem at the transmitter.

Was round my other half's earlier, when they lost BBC on SH.

Thanks, yes it has been confirmed. Strange only the analogue transmissions. Must have been a practice run for the coming switch-off :D
